This site sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and carries no advertising or third-party trackers. It has no accounts and no forms.
What is measured
Reduktive Limited counts page views using Microsoft Azure Application Insights, running in Reduktive’s own Azure subscription. It is configured with cookies and browser storage switched off, so no identifier is kept and repeat visits cannot be linked to one another. What is recorded is the page requested, the time, the referring page, and the browser and approximate location Azure derives from your IP address.
Your IP address is processed in transit to serve the page and to derive that approximate location. It is not stored in the analytics record.
Why, and on what basis
To understand which documentation people read, so that it can be improved. The lawful basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, this processing does not require consent, and no banner is shown.
Who else sees it
Microsoft, as the operator of Azure, acting as a processor for Reduktive. Nobody else. Analytics data is not sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Following a link away from this site — to GitHub, or to a commercial licensing enquiry — takes you to a service with its own privacy terms, which govern what happens there.
Retention, and your rights
Analytics data is retained for 90 days and then deleted.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability under the GDPR. Because no identifier is kept, Reduktive cannot connect an analytics record to you, and so cannot act on a request about a particular visit. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
